Sharon Scarber Green
Faye Scarber about Machelle Scarber Taylor as a toddler. Faye ran into a local lady in town. The lady said of Chelle, "Oh, she's adorable, but where did she get that curly hair?" Faye says, "From her daddy." Lady says, "Why Bill doesn't have curly hair!" Quickly, Faye retorts, "I never said Bill was her daddy." and leaves the local lady standing there with mouth agape.
Bill Scarber always says this when he's mad at someone and thinks they need a beating. "SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TAKE THAT FELLA TO COFFEE!"
Tome Green would threaten the girls with this as they were growing up. "YOU WANT ME TO TAKE YOU TO THE COUNTRY AND DUMP YA OUT?" They had seen many a stray cat come to that demise, so they would straighten right up.
Chris Taylor answers the phone, "TAYLOR MULE BARN. HEAD JACK-ASS SPEAKING."

Robert Goehring
Leiellen in Big Lake. We had been in Big Lake only a short period of time. Mama, Leiellen and me were going into Cheetam's grocery store. A black gentleman opened the door for us. Leiellen (who, I believe had never seen a black person in her life) said, "Look! A chocolate man!"

Ferrell Scarber used to say he could carry a cup of coffee and a half dozen donuts with one hand.

One of Bill Scarber's all time favorite exclamations, and I quote, " Bat Berries!!! "

Grandma Campsey would say " great gobs of goose feathers" when she was upset with us kids, that is when we new we were really in trouble.

Leiellen Goehring Williams
My most memorable saying is just actually one word. Gramdma would always just say S-H-I-T but she would drag it out a mile long. I think she instilled that word into all of us.

Judy Scarber Catania
When Fred and I first got married, we took a trip to California for his high school reunion. EVERYONE I was introduced to at the reunion heard this one, "This is my wife Judy, she was 2 years old when we graduated."
When N'Sync (the music group) first came out and my Sara was the tender age of about 8 or 9, she and I were driving and she was reading in her new Disney Magazine about her new favorite group. She was telling me all about them and she said "Mom, do you know that the oldest one in the group is 21 years old?" LONG pause. "They look pretty good for their age, huh?"
