BahrCarl F. Bahr Carl died on Johan W. F. Bahr His first occupation in America was that of
a shoemaker. Later, John Bahr
works for F. Bros. & Co. as a painter and is listed in the 1887, 1890,
and 1892 Racine City Directories as such. On 20 Dec 1890, he married Mathilda W.
Raguse, daughter of Henrich and Amelia Louise [Hartman], in Racine,
Wisconsin. They had eleven
children: Frank, Charlie,
William, Henry, Clara, Lillian, Arthur, Louis, Herman, Edna, and Dorothy.
The family lived in several houses in Racine. John died of heart disease on 7 Mar 1934 and is buried in the Mound Cemetery, Racine, Wisconsin. Mathilda died on 16 Jun 1957 and is buried with her husband. William John
Bahr Although only educated through the 5th
grade, Bill was a sheet metal worker employed at Mohr-Jones in Racine,
Wisconsin for fifty years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local #35 for 60
years. He worked with Frank Lloyd Wright and installed the duct-work for the
Johnson Wax Building in Racine. This work was accomplished through his own
company, Bahr Sheet Metal. Bill died 3 Dec 1987 and is buried with his loving wife at the West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine, Wisconsin. Allan Clifford
Bahr He married Catherine Marie Barth (see Barth). Together, they raised four daughters. Catherine passed away on 3 Nov 1982 and is buried at the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Huntington Beach, California. Al passed away at his home in Fountain Valley, California, in April 2009. He is buried next to his beloved Catherine. Sharon Lee Bahr Sharon has lived in seven different states and
three different countries. Always
interested in continuing to educate herself, she earned one Bachelor of
Science degree in Computer Science and another in Geology from Elizabeth City
State University, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She also earned the distinction of graduating Summa Cum
Laude. She then received her
Masters of Science in Geoscience (Geophysics) from the University of Texas at Austin.
Sharon and Robert have two children of whom they are very proud. |
